MovementRx is remote therapeutic monitoring (RTM) software that works with any web-based EMR. Your therapists add patients to MovementRx from the EMR chart they already have open, through the MovementRx EMR Connector, a Chrome extension. No second login screen to juggle, no retyping names, phone numbers and insurance into a separate system. RTM should not mean running three different systems.
In Clinicient, Prompt and WebPT it goes a step further. One click pulls the patient’s details from the chart and fills in the MovementRx profile for you.
How it works
- Install the connector once. Add the MovementRx EMR Connector to Chrome from the Chrome Web Store.
- Open a patient chart in your EMR. An MRX button appears on the page. Click it and the MovementRx panel slides open next to the chart. Sign in with your MovementRx login.
- The connector finds the patient. It reads the email address on the chart and checks MovementRx for a match, so the same patient never gets added twice.
- Create or update the profile. New patient? The panel shows a Create form with Patient, Insurance and Diagnosis tabs. Fill in first name, last name, email, phone and insurance plan, then click Save. Existing patient? Their MovementRx profile opens so you can review it and make changes.
- Go straight to the home exercise program. Click Go to HEP and the patient’s MovementRx chart opens in a new tab, ready for you to assign exercises and start RTM.
One-click auto-fill in Clinicient, Prompt and WebPT
In these three EMRs the panel adds a Get Details button. Click it and the connector moves through the chart pages on its own and pulls the patient’s name, contact information, insurance and diagnosis into the MovementRx form. Turn on Autosave and it saves the profile at the end of the run too.
What moves, and which way
| Data | Direction |
|---|---|
| Patient name, email and phone | EMR to MovementRx |
| Insurance plan | EMR to MovementRx |
| Diagnosis | EMR to MovementRx |
| Patient ID | EMR to MovementRx |
| RTM CPT codes for billing | MovementRx monthly billing report, entered in your EMR by your billing team |
The connector reads the chart. It does not change anything in your EMR. At the end of each billing cycle MovementRx produces a billing report with every RTM code each patient qualified for, and our onboarding team gives your billing staff step-by-step guides for entering those codes in Prompt, WebPT and Clinicient.
For health systems
Multi-location departments that would rather not install anything on each workstation can send patient profiles to MovementRx by SFTP instead. See how MovementRx works for health systems.
What you need
- The Chrome browser
- A web-based EMR
- A MovementRx login for each therapist or staff member who adds patients
Sign-in supports two-factor verification, and patient data goes only to your practice’s MovementRx account. If a therapist works for more than one practice, the panel asks which practice the patient belongs to before it saves.
Common questions
Does my EMR need to be on a list?
No. The connector works with any web-based EMR. Clinicient, Prompt and WebPT also get one-click auto-fill.
Does MovementRx integrate with WebPT?
Yes. WebPT is one of the three EMRs with one-click auto-fill, and we give your billing team a WebPT guide for entering RTM codes each month.
Does MovementRx integrate with Prompt EMR and Clinicient?
Yes. Prompt and Clinicient both get one-click auto-fill, plus billing guides for submitting RTM claims.
Do we need IT to set it up?
No. Anyone can add the extension to Chrome from the Chrome Web Store. There is no server install and no interface for your EMR vendor to build.
Will we end up with duplicate patients?
No. The connector checks MovementRx by the patient’s email before it creates anything. If the patient already exists, it opens their profile instead.
What if a patient has no email in the chart?
The connector matches patients by email, so add the email to the EMR chart first. Email and phone are both required to create the MovementRx profile.
